Hristo personally develops every model with a framework of understanding about the instrument’s acoustics. Every instrument is a fruit of profound analysis of the classical Italian model and its geometrical proportions. Handcrafted in full knowledge and respect to constructive methods of the Italian tradition, the instruments also maintain a sense of creative freedom and personality of the artisan.

He draws his inspiration from the classical Italian tradition while balancing precision in craftsmenship with personal creativity. He prefers the Cremonice models of Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù, Andrea Guarneri, Giuseppe Figlius Andrea, Giovanni Battista Guadagnini as well is attracted by the Venetian and Neapolitan schools

Hristo creates instruments with only discriminating acoustic materials, such as Balkanian maple, available through a reserve from the 1990s. As an expert in tone wood, Hristo dedicates time every year to select the best red spruce trees from Trentino, North Italy. He personally oversees the rigorous and meticulous process of cutting and splitting the trees. For optimum results, he leaves the wood to season near the tree’s origin.
